A Platform for JoyThis project was initiated in response to the 2020 RSA brief themed 'A Platform for Joy'. In bustling cities worldwide, train commuters often experience stress due to train delays and crowded environments. While commuting may be the only time for personal relaxation, distractions can disrupt this opportunity. Recognizing this challenge, the research aimed to uncover effective solutions without intruding on commuters' personal activities.

Initially, interactive distractions were explored but traditional activities such as reading, listening to music, or meditating were preferred by commuters. Consequently, the focus shifted to addressing stress directly. Through research, the '4444' breathing technique, known for its effectiveness in combatting stress, was identified. To integrate this technique into commuters' daily routines, a calming floral animation for train stations was designed. This visual display syncs with the 4-4-4-4 breathing technique, offering commuters a serene environment amidst the bustling station atmosphere.

The goal is to empower commuters with a simple yet effective stress-relief method, enhancing their overall well-being and bringing joy to their daily commute.
