The Irish Times and Sport Ireland run the Sportswoman of the Year Awards, celebrating the achievements of female athletes across a 12-month programme, culminating in an annual awards ceremony. For the 2023 awards, the event required a refreshed visual identity that could work seamlessly across both digital and print. The challenge was to create a cohesive system that captured the significance of the event while clearly celebrating the achievements of women in sport.
Outcome
I designed a new visual identity spanning logo, colour, typography, and promotional materials across digital and print. The identity was inspired by the form of the award trophy, creating a consistent visual language that connected the physical and digital experience. The final design delivered a cohesive and recognisable system that elevated the event and supported its presence across multiple touchpoints.
